$65
9AM-5PM @ Mission Park
Students will use a variety of “painting with wool” techniques to create trees, moons, sunsets
and northern lights. Each participant will make a substantial felted wall hanging of a Northern
landscape of their choice.
Lois McDonald-Layden
Lois has been wet and needle felting for six years under the name of Tuckamoor Wildcrafts. Her
art is inspired by the North specifically, and nature in general. She produces popular bookmarks,
wall-art and fantastical dolls and toys, trees and flowers. The three dimensional, soft to the
touch quality of wool tapestries and projects is addictive! Lois enjoys teaching felt-art to children
and adults in workshops from 2-6 hours. While felting is her artistic outle of choice, Lois is also
the General Manager of Old Town Glassworks, in Yellowknife, NT, which produces artisan
glassware from recycled bottles, she is an accomplished seamstress and landscape designer and
loves pottery.
