Artist Story – Landon Peters

The North is full of imagery and colour and is a huge influence on the impressionist style of my landscapes. I spend a lot of time painting Cameron Falls,
various lakes around Yellowknife, and the Old Town area.  There is a rawness and beauty in those images that inspire my canvases.

I came to Yellowknife in 2002 to teach drama at Sir John Franklin High School.  With the drama program, I get to direct, create, and breathe life into
a project.  Year after year, it is incredibly gratifying to see productions come alive on stage.  From the beginning stages to closing night, it is always well
worth the effort.

My art continues to change and evolve with new ideas, experiences and inspirations.  I’m grateful for the support of those who have and continue
to purchase my work.
