Forth Smith’s 50th Anniversary Exhibition Needs Your Help!
The NLMCC is currently working on an exhibition to celebrate Fort Smith’s 50th Anniversary as an incorporated town (1966-2016) and we would like your help! Please share your family photographs from 50 years ago to help us take a nostalgic look back – we are interested in including as many people and places as possible in this snapshot of the community 50 years ago to the present. In addition to this we are also looking for photographs, memories, and stories of Fort Smith’s festivals and events over the years including (but not limited to): Wood Buffalo Frolics, South Slave Friendship Festival, Paddlefest, Summer Splash, etc. Please bring in your photos and memorabilia!
All photographs will be scanned and returned – the museum will only keep a digital copy. Any items loaned for display will be returned after the exhibition (likely in mid-November).
All submissions must be made before September 16th to be included in the exhibit.
