Seal skin mittens are renowned for both their beauty, and warmth. Participants in this weekend long workshop will get to try their hand at using traditional materials such as: seal skin, rabbit fur, moose hide, and sinew. Each participant will walk away from the workshop with their very own pair of beautiful seal skin mittens.

Registration fee: $200.00 

Instructor Bio:

Originally from the hamlet of Ulukhaktok, NT, Brenda now calls Fort Smith home. Brenda is a traditional artist with a passion for Inuit style clothing and sewing projects. Brenda has been working with traditional materials and sewing since before she can even remember. She credits her Mother and Grandmother for teaching her and instilling a love of sewing in her. Brenda is a self-proclaimed “perfectionist”, often pulling her work apart multiple times before the project is complete and finished to her standards. Brenda is happy to be able to pass along her knowledge through teaching others.
