November 19, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In 2012 Patti-Kay Hamilton retired after three decades working as a reporter and producer with CBC North. During that time she won numerous
honours including the Gabriel International award for excellence in broadcast journalism and the Canadian Broadcaster’s award for a five part series
on family violence called “Behind Closed Doors.”

Hamilton covered everything from the surprise visit of the Pope to Yellowknife to a proposal to slaughter all of the bison in Wood Buffalo National Park.
Her work exposed the illegal shipment on the Mackenzie River of PCB’s from DEW line sites by the American military. But she is likely best
remembered for her lively commentary of the Canadian Championship Dog Race from a bush plane and helicopter and her regular conversations with
Peter Gzowski on Morningside.

On Thursday, November 19th at 7:00 join us at Northern Life Museum when Patti-Kay Hamilton will reveal adventures and misadventures of her
journey to and with the national broadcaster.

Light refreshments will be served.
