August 13, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm | $80

Wire work may often seem spectacular and complex, but as is often the case, the basics are fairly simple. With a bit of practice, a fair amount of patience and a good dose of perseverance, it’s possible for everyone to become comfortable working with wire. Participants in this single day workshop will learn the basics of wire work and will practice creating chain links and clasps for an earring and bracelet set. This is an excellent workshop for people looking to begin to make their own jewellery, at the end of the workshop participants will be comfortable working with wire and will create a matching bracelet and earring set.

Workshop date: Saturday, August 13 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Registration fee: $80.00

Artist Biography ~ Patrice Tremblay

Patrice was originally introduced to jewellery making while travelling in Mexico. He was charmed by the array of possibilities offered by a spool of wire and a set of pliers. Upon returning to Canada, he continued to explore and push the limits of the medium. Patrice’s work has since evolved to include silversmithing and other techniques and he has given workshops at many northern events such as the Open Sky Festival and the Great Northern Arts Festival.
